Transfer Service – How to get to the Surfhouse
The transfer is not included in the price to the Surfhouse! But transfers can be organized from Santiago, Santiago Airport, Litueche, San Antonio or Matanzas/Navidad.
The seasons
The best conditions are like in any other part of the world having West wind in autumn. Very good conditions can also be found end of spring though or in Winter.
How cold is the water?
Between 12-16 degrees. Warm wetsuits are a must, but it is possible to surf with a 4/3 plus boots and hoodie in winter.
What is the average temperature?
Whether it is summer or winter, it can get really cold at night due to a cold stream from the south pole region. Never ever forget your down jacket at home. Even if in summer you can walk around in shorts and shirt during the day.
How to get around
The easiest way to get around in Chile is by car. On the place itself you can walk to the beach in front of your stay in 5 minutes or have a 30-40 minutes’ walk to the main surf spot. If you book surf lessons or guiding, transfer will be included.
What are the waves like and what surf equipment do you need
The main point break is known for a variety of conditions. On low tide it can be barreling, on high tide it can be good for longboarding. Also it has three different sections so you really can pick the best conditions according to your wishes and abilities.

All our rooms have ocean view and most of them are really on the beach.
Travel safety in Chile
A lot of our guest are traveling Chile and it is a safe place in Latin America to do so. Just stay away at nights from poorer neighborhoods in cities, and don’t stop on the road to talk to people or take a hitch hiker with you.
Who visits the Surfhouse – Age range?
We have people of all ages from 25 and up visiting us! The average age is around 30 to 40.

There are a lot of hiking possibilities, viewpoints, rock formations, waterfalls and lonely beaches. Whatever you´re up to!
